I've posted 9 (now 10) out of the 60 days I've been doing p90X. There's no excuse for that, so I choose to focus on the extremely positive:
I'VE COMPLETED 60 OUT OF THE 90 DAYS IN THE PROGRAM!
I believe a dance party is in order.
And that's pretty much all I came on to say! Though the updates have been less that satisfactory (i.e. nonexistent), I've continued to struggle my way to Day 90. Mostly thanks to White J, actually.
One of my earlier comments was from a woman who had just moved in with her boyfriend for the first time, and the two of them planned on working out together. I don't know if they went through with that plan, but word of caution: it's not easy. There have been a couple of hearty p90X fights in our house, and at times it's plain hard working out with someone else right there to see you struggle with the hard parts. Sometimes, I find myself annoyed and thinking, "Gosh, he moves so funny," and I'm sure he gets annoyed with my Bitch Face when we work out in the mornings. Or in the afternoon. Or at...you know, the time really doesn't matter that much. Regardless, we're both there for each other in some way, whether it's him reminding me that we have to stay low in Warrior One, or me yelling at him to engage his abs during Kenpo. It's the support that counts! So if you plan on doing p90X or any fitness program with someone your care about, fight through your workouts, and work out all your fights – it's worth it. (I think. Keep in mind that we're not finished yet.)
In other news, I officially have Jumper's Knee (or Patellar Tendonitis) – self-diagnosed, because who the hell can afford doctors other than businessmen and other doctors? – so I'll be using ice after every workout and possibly taking it easy on the squats. No bigs.
See you kids in... however many days it takes for me to update this again! (Possibly one. Maybe.)
Authors note: To all you bloggers out there, if any real bloggers are reading this, how do you keep up with a schedule? Don't you run out of things to write about?
